Production
A full cycle — from charge preparation to finished-product storage
Electric arc furnaces. Heat size 25.5 t, tapping temperature 1610 °C, tap-to-tap time 65 minutes.
Charge preparation
Receiving, sorting and preparation of scrap and ferroalloys at an open raw-material yard of over 20,000 m².

Secondary metallurgy
Ladle furnace: chemistry fine-tuning, desulphurisation, argon stirring, temperature control.
Continuous casting
Continuous caster producing square billets, cut to length in line.
Rolling
Continuous bar mill. Billet reheating, roughing, intermediate and finishing stands.
Quenching and finishing
Thermomechanical treatment line, cooling bed, straightening, cutting to 12 m and bundling.
Quality control
Spectral analysis of each heat, tensile and bend testing, rib geometry inspection.
Storage and dispatch
Gantry and overhead crane handling, bundle tagging, dispatch by truck and rail.

About the plant
TURON STEEL SAMARQAND is an integrated steel producer in the Samarkand region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The plant is built to a modern industrial standard: the main production bay is 120 metres long with a 50-metre span and 26-metre height, served by twelve overhead cranes of 75 and 25 tonnes. Separate buildings house raw-material intake and preparation, the finished-goods warehouse and administrative facilities.
Site logistics are designed for continuous operation: 18,500 m² of internal asphalt roads, open raw-material and finished-product yards served by gantry cranes, parking for 120 vehicles and round-the-clock access through a security checkpoint.
A central location gives short delivery legs to the Samarkand, Navoi, Kashkadarya and Jizzakh regions and to Tashkent, as well as access to export routes across Central Asia.
